Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT®)
Measure Reasoning Abilities
About This Test
The CogAT® was designed as a companion to the Iowa Tests and measures a student's learned reasoning abilities in three areas: Verbal, Quantitative, and Nonverbal. This test gives parents insight into their child's abilities in addition to their academic achievement.
SMART will administer the CogAT® to students in grades 4-12 with the corresponding Iowa Test.
This test is an additional 2.5 hours beyond the Iowa Test for a total fee of $120 (includes both tests).
The CogAT can be added for $55 when taking the IOWA test.
Results provide valuable insight into how your child learns and processes information, complementing the achievement data from the Iowa Tests.
