ABOUT US
Serving homeschool families with professional academic testing since 2006
Smoky Mountain Academic Resources & Training (SMART) has been offering educational services to families, including the homeschool community, since 2006. We are pleased to offer the Woodcock-Johnson Tests of Achievement, Iowa, and Brigance.
Our History
Woodcock-Johnson testing was offered in Western North Carolina many years ago by Carolina Education Resource (CER), owned by the late Wendy Coleman. Wendy trained several qualified homeschool mothers, including Glenna Toney, who started testing in 2002.
In 2006, Wendy asked Glenna to continue the CER tradition. After much thought and prayer, Glenna decided to serve WNC with a quality testing service, and SMART was incorporated in 2007.
Our Reach
SMART has grown and expanded greatly since 2007. We now test across NC (from Murphy to Wilmington), in SC (from Greenville to Charleston), in FL (Tampa, Ocala, Clearwater), and in CO (Boulder & Denver Areas).
SMART is willing to travel to your area and test (minimum number of students required). Contact us if you're interested in hosting a SMART Testing Site or Presentation.
We graciously and proudly welcome you to SMART and look forward to serving you!

SMART associates work independently and keep their own schedules. Please contact your desired associate directly to make arrangements.
