and professional development experiences for other educators, as well as schoolwide programs to encourage literacy and reading
Jennifer is married with two children she currently homeschools, and resides in Granite Falls, NC. She is a certified school/public
librarian, as well as K-6 teacher, but has taught everything from preschool through college adults. Teaching is her passion. Reading
is her specialty. Jennifer and her family enjoy fishing, camping, and hiking. They also love to canoe and kayak. Nature is a big
part of their homeschooling focus. One of her favorite things to do together as a family is to "chase waterfalls." Jennifer loves to
read, ride horses, and is an avid movie fan. Her family attends two churches that they are very involved in, and do their best to
seek out ways to serve others. She will also become a Classical Conversations Foundations Director this year.
While new to SMART, Jennifer is not new to testing, as she has been a public school testing coordinator in the past.
School testing was a sort of drudgery, however, when she first experienced SMART testing/consultation she was so impressed
with how much it benefited her as a teacher, mother, and parent, that she knew she wanted to become a part of it! Jennifer
hopes be a blessing to other students and parents just as the SMART testing experience has been for her!
